HAMA’s open invitation to visit and tour the training vessel AIDA IV

On the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the establishment of the Hellenic Arab Maritime Academy (HAMA), the training ship AIDA IV will sail at the port of Piraeus OLP Cruise Terminal on Friday, August 3 and will remain at the Piraeus Port Authority until Monday, August 6.

AIDA IV, the first private training vessel in Europe, owned by the Egyptian Government and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT)provides a comprehensive on-board training for merchant marine students who are acquiring theoretical and practical knowledge in a wide-ranging educational spectrum such as maritime technology, marine engineering, electrical engineering, navigation, safety and security, cargo operations, leadership and management. AIDA IV is manned by Deck & Engine Officers and Crew, (all graduates of the AASTMT) complimented by the Academy’s Professors who teach, familiarize and guide Deck & Engine cadets so they are well trained to work professionally on all types of merchant ships.

The Hellenic Arab Maritime Academy invites students, graduates, prospective students, as well all professionals in the shipping and maritime industry to visit AIDA IV on Saturday, August 4 and Sunday, August 5 from 12.00 to 18.00 for guided tours on-board the ship, giving everyone the chance to chat with crew members, academics, trainers and cadets.

During the tour, visitors will have the opportunity to find how the high-standard methodology of the Hellenic Arab Maritime Academy (HAMA), combined with the highly-organized on-board training prepares HAMA graduates to become the future Officers of Merchant Marine and Executives in the maritime sector.
